Hosted at Hotel InterContinental Vienna

With Selma Alispahić, Flobensa Bezati, Liese Lyon, Alexandra Sommerfeld and Juliane Werner, this ist the first time that five experienced Jelinek actresses have joined forces in Vienna – and surely nowhere could be better suited to a summit of Jelinek ‘princesses’ than the Hotel InterContinental…

Specially tailored to the performance venue, a highly musical evening of theatre unfolds and fills the air with Elfriede Jelinek’s spoken score supported by sound designer Wolfgang Musil and instrumental live acts by Lens Kühleitner.

Re-encountering ‘Snow White’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Rosamunde’, ‘Jackie’ and the other ‘princesses’ roughly twenty years after the premiere, against a backdrop of today’s debates about realising equality for all, regardless of gender, background, etc., is a politically charged pleasure.  sm
